Autumn Has Arrived!

Tis the Season to be Stressed…For Kids Adjusting to Back to School

New schedules and activities, new teachers and perhaps a new school can all bring about stress for students and their families.

Parents should watch for the following warning signs:

– Physical symptoms such as headaches, tummy aches, fatigue & general complaints of feeling unwell
– Irritability or if a child is unusually touchy, angry, grumpy or cranky
– Meltdowns or crying spells
– School refusal
– Distractability and the inability to stay focused can also be a signs of anxiety
